HBCU Records Completes First Recording Session

B-CU's new student-run record label, HBCU Records, just completed its first recording sessions for B-CU student artists Paul Jackson, Jr. and DJ DGlove. Curb Records' artist Larry Gordon joined DJ DGlove in the studio to provide vocals on his track. All tracks were recorded at MidTown Recording Studios with engineer Lamar Hickley. The creative team also includes B-CU alum Terrance Gattling who was a co-writer on both tracks.

The label staff is preparing the promotion, marketing and social media campaigns for the national release of the singles in early 2016. The label staff includes B-CU students Fidline Ecxat-Chair & A&R/Video Production Manager, Caroline Morley-Marketing & Sales Manager, Ania Ashley-Production Manager and Kevin Deligny-Promotions & Social Media Manager.

HBCU Records' artists will perform in the Fan Zone during the Florida Classic. Stay tuned for the release of their music videos, in early 2016, to be produced by Darian McCaskill (CatEye Network) and his student video production team.
